Because it recognizes the Virginia Range as one of the largest humane management programs for wild mustangs, not the origin of Velma’s efforts to protect wild horses.
SB90 is the Campaign Against America’s Wild Horses trying to draw attention to itself, to legitimize its anti-horse agenda, a disgrace to Velma’s legacy.
The darting program and those involved are to be eschewed, not glorified.

This is incorrect information and nothing more than a smear plan
SB90 does not designate any protections for the horses that call the Virginia Range home. The SB90 is dedicated to the preservation of Nevada Mustang heritage. Most people who consider visiting Nevada want to have the feel of the Wild West and the Mustangs. This bill does not reflect on the political issues that surround the Mustangs. It’s about being proud to be a Nevadan along with all its rich history. The SB90 is a reflection for all Mustangs that have called Nevada home. Past and present. It does not take away from the importance of the big Horn sheep or any other of the state emblems but adds to the mystic of what Nevada stands for. Being battle born, wild and free.
