A four year old mare was found dead yesterday on the Maryland side of the island, according to a report by Shore Daily News, following a hit-and-run incident last week.
The foal is lame but will remain in the wild.
The herd is trying to recover from the disastrous fertility control program, which was shut off in 2016.
