Currituck Filly Dies

She had severe damage to her lower right leg and was put down by the advocates, according to a story by The News & Observer of Raleigh, NC.

Of eight foals born this year, two have died.

A herd of 101 would normally produce around twenty foals per year.

The loss takes some pressure off the darting program.
