Lies at Pauls Valley

Adoption event last month at Pauls Valley Off-Range Corral in southern Oklahoma.

Remarks by the woman beginning at 5:11 are false.  The land can support way more than 26,000 horses and burros.  Herd sizes do not double every three years.  BLM forces these animals off their home range (public lands in Western U.S.) so their food can be sold to privately owned cattle and sheep.

Thanks to Camille’s Mustangs for getting this on film.

  1. Thanks for calling attention to the fact that alot of the claims made by the blm are FALSE….they are an agency that is part of the govt that manages wild horse populations for purpose of cattle grazing etc on public land…the cattle cause depletion of the grass that horses need to eat and the cattle ranchers do not replenish it. Weeds and other inedible plants grow back making the land unable to support the horses. The BLM main concern is not the welfare of the horses and preservation of their natural environment, it is to make sure the land is available for privately owned cattle. The balance of nature has been destroyed by predators such as wolves being totally wiped out and other species populations decreased so there is no natural balance. The BLM is an agency not doing their job right and they can be fired and replaced they dont deserve another chance. The horses are native to their ranges and when nature is allowed to work it does…wolves and other wildlife ne ed to occupy their native territories. The BLM doesnt do anything humanely they just use more helicopters and set lower standards for treatment of the horses…making the horses scared, not likely to want human interaction..I have adopted several mustangs, some from pauls valley…i am very experienced handling horses properly…36 yrs..and i would NEVER use their methods.
