The drive over Donner Summit probably looks something like this today.
Photo taken 02/24/17, on eastbound I-80, east of the Whitmore Grade. Elevation probably around 5500 feet. You do a lot of climbing on that part of the road.
Notably absent are the 2 million wild horses that once roamed the West.
